| areas
of expertise: immigration law
Immigration law is our second main area of expertise. The
immigration law section consists of six lawyers with the skills
and experience to provide all necessary judicial assistance.
Dutch immigration
law is divided into three main areas: asylum, regular procedures
and (alien) detention proceedings. BFKW has experience with
litigation in all these areas: administrative complaint procedures
against the IND, appeal procedures in the immigration law
section of the courts of first instance and higher appeal
at the Council of State, and internationally, at the European
Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Where appropriate we
cooperate with the relevant organizations, such as Amnesty
International or the Refugee Council of the Netherlands (VVN).
